About the Role

Island Health is seeking a part-time Geriatric Psychiatrist to join our team in providing consultation services to patients, families, primary care physicians, and healthcare professionals in various settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide consultation services to patients and their families in Acute Inpatient, Outpatient, and Residential Care settings
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Participate in clinical service, teaching, and program development as part of the Island-wide Dementia Strategy
  • Contribute to the NRGH General Psychiatry call rotation and Island Medical Program undergraduate and postgraduate teaching program
Requirements
  • Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Geriatric Psychiatry
  • Fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry is considered an asset
