Intermodal Logistics Coordinator

As a key member of our logistics team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our supply chain, driving maximum efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Challenger Motor Freight Inc. is a leading provider of intermodal logistics services, and we are seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to join our team as an Intermodal Logistics Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating personnel and processes to achieve effective distribution of goods, ensuring the highest level of customer experience and compliance with customer volume expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage accounts from all aspects, including quoting and booking spot shipments, customer service, and order closure.
  • Ensure prompt and effective communication with customers to provide the highest level of customer experience.
  • Identify opportunities for margin improvement and implement strategies to achieve results.
  • Investigate and advise management on instances where customer volume expectations are not met.
  • Respond quickly to customer requests and provide timely updates on shipment status.
  • Collaborate with carriers to resolve delivery delays or security issues.
  • Ensure compliance with audit requirements and scan all necessary documents into our TMS system.
  • Closure of all orders in the TMS system within 24 hours of delivery.
  • Collect PODs from carriers within 48 hours of receiving the email.
  • Obtain approval from customers for extra charges within 48 hours of occurrence.
  • Communicate ETAs to customers and receivers to book delivery appointments and avoid storage fees.
  • Qualify carriers in our TMS and RMIS systems.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new carriers and customers.
  • Perform tasks with attention to detail and a sense of urgency, ensuring timely updates to local systems.
  • Communicate effectively with peers to ensure coverage during absences or vacations.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
  • Must be bilingual.
