Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and safety-minded Bus Driver to join our team at CIS Ontario. As a Bus Driver, you will be responsible for operating a school bus in a safe and effective manner, ensuring the well-being of our students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate the bus in accordance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures to minimize the risk of injury, property damage, or loss of life.
  • Perform regular safety and maintenance checks of the bus to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Pick up and deliver students as per a set schedule, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Ensure students are aware of the rules and responsibilities as passengers, and make note of any behavioral or disciplinary issues.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Transportation Coordinator.

Requirements

  • Meet the minimum age requirements to hold a school bus driver's license in the province of Ontario.
  • Hold a class B license with Z endorsement.
  • Hold a valid (non-probationary) driver's license for Ontario.
  • Possess a very good driving record.
  • Must undergo pre-employment drug testing with satisfactory results and comply with our random drug check policy for student safety.
  • Must be safety-minded, courteous, and able to demonstrate an appreciation of the importance of customer service.
  • Must enjoy driving and working with children.
