Job Title: Bus Driver

Ridley College is seeking a reliable and safety-minded Bus Driver to join our team. As a Bus Driver, you will be responsible for transporting students safely and efficiently to and from school.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate the bus in a safe and effective manner to minimize the risk of injury or loss of life.
  • Follow all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform safety and maintenance checks of the bus pre-trip and post-trip.
  • Advise the Transportation Coordinator of any requirements for maintenance or repairs.
  • Pick up and deliver students as per a set schedule.
  • Ensure students are aware of rules and responsibilities as passengers.
  • Make note of any behavioural or disciplinary issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Meet the minimum age requirements to hold a school bus driver's license in the province of Ontario.
  • Hold a class B license with Z endorsement.
  • Must hold a valid (non-probationary) driver's license for Ontario.
  • Possess a very good driving record.
  • Must undergo pre-employment drug testing with satisfactory results and comply with our random drug check policy for student safety.
  • Must be safety-minded, courteous, and able to demonstrate an appreciation of the importance of customer service.
  • Must enjoy driving and working with children.
