We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Service Technician to join our team at Ocean West Marine Group Inc. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our watercraft fleet.
Key Responsibilities- Electrical and Mechanical Systems: Adjust, repair, or replace electrical system parts and mechanical system parts to ensure proper functioning.
- Diagnostic and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and isolate faults on engines to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Documentation and Communication: Document your inspection and tests made on engines, estimate repair costs, and review work orders to ensure accuracy and transparency.
- Training and Development: Instruct apprentices and advise customers on work performed and the condition of equipment.
- Maintenance and Service: Perform scheduled maintenance and service to prevent equipment failure and ensure optimal performance.
- Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Physical Demands: Physically demanding work environment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and bending.
- Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment with attention to detail, work under pressure, and a willingness to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in/on water.
