Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Social Worker II to join our team at The Royal Mental Health Centre. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional care and support to adults with serious mental illness and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, treat, and support clients and families in a collaborative and client-centered approach.
  • Develop and lead groups, as well as provide education and treatment in individual and group settings.
  • Liaise with residential settings and community resources to ensure seamless care and support.
  • Participate in supervision, teaching, and education of Social Work students and support students from health-related disciplines.
  • Contribute to research and program evaluation, and participate in hospital Social Work and quality improvement requirements.
Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Social Work.
  • Registration and good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
  • Minimum of three years clinical experience in a mental health setting.
  • Discharge planning experience and knowledge of community resources is essential.
  • High level of knowledge, skill, and confidence in using electronic health record systems for clinical documentation and navigation.
