Role Overview: Claims Coordinator, Health Safety & Environment
In this position, you will:
- Collaborate with the Corporate Claims Team while reporting directly to the Corporate Claims Director.
- Analyze incident investigation reports, evaluate claims for initial entitlement, prepare submissions for objections, and manage third-party cost transfer submissions, along with completing and filing Employer Reports of Injury.
- Oversee workplace injury claims with an emphasis on reducing time loss and claim expenses.
- Engage with provincial Worker's Compensation Boards across Canada and Health Care Practitioners to facilitate effective claims management.
- Handle Workers' Compensation Appeals as necessary.
Are You the Right Fit?
- You possess a Post-Secondary education in a relevant field and have 3 to 5 years of experience in managing Worker's Compensation claims.
- You have a comprehensive understanding of Workers Compensation policies and procedures, the experience rating system, and the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
- Strong oral and written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge and experience across multiple provinces (BC, AB, SK, ON) would be advantageous.
