We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team at Lex Metal Fabricators Ltd. as a key member of our finance department.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Data Management
- Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts receivable and payable.
- Perform financial calculations, such as costing and budgeting, to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Store, update, and retrieve financial data in a timely and efficient manner.
- Accounts Receivable and Payable
- Manage cash and ensure timely payment of invoices to clients.
- Collect payments from debtors and maintain accurate records of payments received.
- Process and reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- General Office Duties
- Perform general office duties, including maintaining filing and record systems, and performing clerical tasks as required.
- Organize and maintain inventory, including tracking and reporting on inventory levels.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of employee hours worked and payroll information.
- Education
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Skills and Abilities
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
