Private Equity Associate Director

As an Associate Director, Roynat Equity Partners, Canadian Banking, you will play a key role in making and managing private equity/venture capital fund investments. Your responsibilities will include financial modeling, screening potential investment opportunities, conducting market research, providing assistance with due diligence, drafting investment summaries and internal memorandums, and general account administration. You will work closely with a Senior Associate and Analyst to achieve shared goals. Key responsibilities include:

Financial Modeling:
Develop and maintain financial models to analyze financial information presented by prospects and portfolio funds and their holdings. Provide accurate information and data to support recommendations.

  • Conduct thorough financial analysis and provide insightful recommendations

Portfolio Management:
Monitor all assigned accounts; conduct portfolio analytics, cash forecasting and risk modeling: timely review of financial statements and promptly identify deteriorating situations with recommended solutions. Manage monitoring and internal reporting and review activities for private equity/venture capital fund investments.
Assist the Director and the Managing Director with investment objectives and policies. Maintain a detailed pipeline of prospects and potential deals through the firm's CRM system and external and internal sources.

  • 5+ years of experience in private equity/venture capital fund investments and portfolio management; Undergraduate degree
  • CFA, CA/CPA, CBV or Masters' degree in business/economics considered an asset
  • Solid accounting skills and experience
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office – Word, PP, Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure to meet tight deadlines
