You will work closely with a range of specialized departments, including Anesthesia, General Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Psychiatry, Radiology, Urology, and Oncology. When advanced treatment is necessary, you will play a crucial role in coordinating referrals to tertiary care facilities. Our hospital is equipped with a dedicated team of allied healthcare professionals who are always available to assist you.

Providing care for acutely ill patients and their families is central to your role. Therefore, your exceptional clinical and communication abilities are vital. You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including discharge planning specialists, community resources, and family physicians. Teamwork is essential, and we utilize electronic physician documentation to ensure clear communication, seamless patient transitions, and efficient rounds.

You will have the opportunity to engage with UBC-Okanagan's medical undergraduate and family residency programs, allowing you to mentor and provide immersive clinical education to future healthcare providers. We also encourage your participation in initiatives aimed at enhancing Physician Quality Improvement (PQI), where your contributions can lead to meaningful advancements in care.
