Job Title: Flooring Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Flooring Specialist to join our team at 2580737 Ontario Inc. as a permanent employee.

Job Summary:

The Flooring Specialist will be responsible for installing, measuring, and marking surfaces to be covered, as well as preparing flooring plans and scheduling. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of flooring materials and be able to work efficiently in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding
  • Prepare flooring plans and scheduling
  • Install carpeting and hardwood floors
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Prepare floors for installations
  • Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in flooring installation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to work in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment:

The Flooring Specialist will work in a residential setting, with various locations throughout the city. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a dusty environment and be comfortable with odours.
