Job Summary:

The Flooring Specialist will be responsible for installing, inspecting, and repairing various types of flooring, including hardwood, carpet, and resilient flooring. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, be organized, and have a strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding
  • Prepare flooring plans and scheduling
  • Install carpeting on floors
  • Prepare and install hardwood floors
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Prepare floors for installations
  • Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants
  • Perform double-bond carpet installations
  • Install resilient stair components
  • Install vinyl decking materials
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience

Work Environment:

The Flooring Specialist will work in a residential setting, with various locations. The work site environment may include odours and dusty conditions.

Language:

Hours:

The working hours are 40 to 44 hours per week.
