About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Glass Cutter to join our team at YYC Closets and Glass Ltd. As a Glass Cutter, you will be responsible for cutting glass to precise specifications, ensuring high-quality products for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Glass Cutting Machines: Safely and efficiently operate glass cutting machines to cut glass to precise specifications.
  • Inspect and Prepare Glass: Inspect glass for defects and prepare it for cutting by cleaning and measuring.
  • Cut Glass to Specifications: Cut glass to precise specifications, taking into account the type of glass, its thickness, and the desired finish.
  • Assemble Glass Products: Assemble glass products, such as windows and doors, using cutting and finishing techniques.
  • Maintain a Safe Work Environment: Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, and physically demanding activities.
