Job Title: Glass Cutter

We are seeking a skilled Glass Cutter to join our team at YYC Closets and Glass Ltd. As a Glass Cutter, you will be responsible for cutting glass to precise specifications using various hand tools and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate glass cutting machines to cut glass to precise specifications
  • Use hand tools to cut glass along marked outlines or around patterns
  • Examine and mark defective glass to obtain the best cut
  • Smooth rough edges using belt sanders or smoothing wheels
  • Set up and adjust glass cutting machines
Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in glass cutting or a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to lift and move heavy loads
  • Team player with good communication skills
Work Environment:
  • Work site environment: noisy, odours, dusty, hot, cold/refrigerated
  • Public transportation available
Language:
  • Language of work: English
Work Schedule:
  • 40 hours per week
