About the Role

The Assistant Deputy Minister, Fiscal Management and Capital Planning, is a key leadership position within the Manitoba Government. This role is responsible for developing and implementing fiscal strategies that support the government's overall financial framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and coordinate an effective budget and planning cycle
  • Provide reliable fiscal forecasting, monitoring, and reporting mechanisms
  • Plan for the long-term sustainability of the government's core operations and the Government Reporting Entity
  • Prepare the Annual Budget and long-term fiscal plans
  • Balance and rationalize fiscal restraint and program renewal
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate strong corporate leadership and a proven track record of establishing trust-based relationships with senior leaders. You will also need to have a strong analytical mindset and be able to apply critical thinking to complex issues.

The ideal candidate will be a motivated and proactive individual who is passionate about contributing to the transformation and improvement of government operations.
