Senior Director of Client Services

Lumacare is dedicated to serving older adults and seniors in high-needs neighborhoods across northwest Toronto. Our mission is to empower vulnerable seniors through a diverse range of programs and services, operating across six locations. We support over 3500 community members annually with the help of our dedicated team of over 200 staff members and volunteers.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of Senior Director of Client Services. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), this position plays a crucial role within Lumacare's Senior Leadership Team.
The Senior Director of Client Services will collaborate closely with staff, volunteers, and community partners to cultivate a positive and supportive environment. This individual will be responsible for driving operational and strategic initiatives, leading special projects, quality improvements, and growth strategies. Key focus areas include Quality and Risk Management, Client Experience, and Operational Excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Planning & Implementation: Provide strategic guidance to the leadership team and lead initiatives for client care programs and services planning. Set objectives aligned with the organization's operational plan and monitor program effectiveness.
- Operational Management: Ensure effective service delivery and compliance with policies. Oversee the daily operations of client care programs, manage program budgets and financial reporting, and implement and track key performance indicators.
- Quality Management: Collaborate on quality and risk plans, drive quality improvement initiatives, ensure compliance with accreditation standards, and oversee safe practices in alignment with health regulations.
- Staff & Volunteer Management: Recruit, lead, and supervise staff and volunteers. Cultivate a positive team culture and provide professional development opportunities.
- Program Development & Evaluation: Develop and implement program initiatives based on community needs, evaluate existing programs for enhancements, and utilize data for informed decision-making.
- Community Engagement & Partnerships: Build relationships with stakeholders and community partners, represent the organization at events, and promote community engagement.
- Fundraising & Resource Development: Identify funding opportunities, collaborate on fundraising strategies, and manage donor relationships.
- Communication & Reporting: Present program reports to stakeholders, communicate effectively with all parties, and ensure transparency in operations.
We seek a candidate with proven experience in non-profit management, engagement with funders or government officials, and an education in a related field or equivalent operational experience. Demonstrated leadership and planning skills, innovative thinking, and a community-oriented approach are essential. A collaborative leadership style and effective communication skills are also crucial for success in this role.
