Job Title: Special Education Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team at Chrysta ABA Academy Society. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special needs to reach their full potential.

Job Description:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience working with students with special needs
  • Responsibilities:
    • Attend educational conferences and workshops to stay updated on best practices
    • Discuss results and students' progress with parents, school officials, and other professionals
    • Evaluate and document students' progress
    • Participate in educational conferences and teacher training workshops
    • Participate in staff meetings to discuss student progress and share ideas
    • Provide tutoring assistance to students who require extra support
    • Assign and correct homework to ensure students understand the material
    • Develop course content to meet the needs of students with special needs
    • Identify children's individual learning needs and develop strategies to support them
    • Lead students in activities to promote their physical, mental, and social development
    • Prepare and implement remedial programs for students requiring extra help
    • Prepare subject material for presentation according to an approved curriculum
    • Prepare, administer, and correct tests to assess student progress
    • Teach students using lessons, discussions, audio-visual presentations, and field trips
Counselling Specialization:
  • Special Education: Counselling and support for students with special needs
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Attention to detail: Ability to focus on individual student needs
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking: Ability to move around the classroom and school
  • Fast-paced environment: Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Standing for extended periods: Ability to stand for extended periods while teaching or supporting students
  • Tight deadlines: Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks
  • Work under pressure: Ability to work under pressure and manage stress
