General Responsibilities

The Vendor Relationship Manager will establish, nurture, and sustain effective partnerships with IT suppliers and internal teams. These collaborations will serve as a foundation for negotiating optimal value for products, acquisitions, and services that align with the company's operational and strategic goals. This position demands exceptional relationship management capabilities, coordination across various organizational interdependencies, and oversight of potential risks and challenges, while liaising with stakeholders at all levels within and outside the organization. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in vendor management, covering operations, contracts, finance, sales, marketing, performance, relationship, and risk management, along with significant experience in fostering relationships with IT suppliers.

Specific Responsibilities

Business Partner Strategy & Planning

  • Formulate, implement, manage, and regularly update the business strategy for assigned partners, acknowledging the distinct needs of our operations and the various markets we serve.
  • Collaborate closely with the vendor channel community and sales teams to develop highly sought-after solutions for target markets.
  • Execute strategies across various routes to market, segments, and product lines.
  • Act as the primary liaison with Insight Technology counterparts for effective collaboration and communication on planning initiatives.
  • Measure and report weekly/monthly metrics on sales, margins, supplier reimbursements, and the performance of product marketing campaigns, along with feedback on partners and competitors.

Quarterly Business Review

  • Assess business changes and drive initiatives to compete and expand.
  • Provide guidance to the leadership team.
  • Facilitate Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
  • Continuously collaborate with the operations team to identify system requirements, categorization needs, and process necessities in support of overarching objectives.

Partner Investment

  • Enhance awareness of Insight Technology's value proposition and marketing offerings among partners.
  • Establish partner-specific priorities and secure approvals for Marketing Development Fund (MDF) investments.
  • Oversee the Partner MDF program.
  • Ensure timely submission of Proof of Performance (POP) for payment processing.
  • Aggregate multiple data sources to provide weekly updates on supplier reimbursements.
  • Comprehend the financial benefits of supplier reimbursements and deliver monthly reports to management.
  • Recommend and negotiate promotional pricing, special purchases, and event-related acquisitions.
  • Assist in resolving vendor payment discrepancies.

Training & Development

  • Conduct external and internal training sessions on New Product Introductions (NPIs), refreshers, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in partner business management, vendor management, or as a partner advocate.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Self-starter with multitasking abilities and leadership skills in a team-oriented environment.
  • Experience in B2B e-commerce and/or distribution is advantageous.
  • Sales or marketing experience specifically related to vendor solutions.
  • Familiarity with performance metrics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bilingualism is a significant asset.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks, working independently under tight deadlines, and performing well under pressure.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within teams.
