About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Lead to join our Amazon Annapurna Labs team in Toronto. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development of our Machine Learning (ML) software stack, including the AWS Neuron Software Development Kit (SDK).

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with AWS ML services teams to design and develop new products, optimizations, and features for the Neuron SDK.
  • Develop and maintain high-performance, low-cost, and easy-to-use ML software solutions for our customers.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of the Neuron SDK with popular ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and MxNet.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in ML and software development, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation in our products and services.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • Excellent software design fundamentals, knowledge of software engineering principles, and a deep understanding of compilers (resource management, instruction scheduling, code generation, and compute graph optimization).
  • Experience with toolchains (LLVM, GCC) and code generation techniques for new hardware.
  • Knowledge of compiler internals from front end to run-time environment with emphasis on AI acceleration.
