About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer to join our team at Amazon Development Centre Canada ULC - K03. As a key member of our Ring Authentication Services team, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and delivering secure and reliable authentication services for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Design, create, and update core functionality of Ring Authentication services, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions.
  • Technical Leadership: Drive the technical direction and architecture of large, complex software systems, identifying opportunities to improve stability, performance, and security.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Data Engineers, Operations, and leadership, to define business opportunities and drive end-to-end solutions and product roadmaps.
  • Team Management: Coach, mentor, and lead individuals, building a strong cross-functional organization and promoting operational excellence in large-scale production services.

Requirements
  • Professional Experience: 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience, with a strong background in leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
  • Technical Expertise: 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language, and experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
