Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional software developer to join our Research and Development team in Toronto. As a member of our team, you will work on designing, developing, and optimizing features in our 2D and 3D software products, including Houdini and HQueue.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-performance software features in Houdini and HQueue.
  • Implement next-generation help and search systems in Houdini.
  • Enhance audio and video integration in Houdini.
  • Maintain and improve the Houdini Object Model (HOM) API.
  • Develop and maintain critical R&D infrastructure systems.
  • Support other pipeline team development areas as needed.
  • Provide technical support to the Houdini user community.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a C++ and Python software developer in a professional environment.
  • Computer Science degree or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of modern C++ programming.
  • Strong knowledge of Python programming.
  • Experience with parallel and distributed programming.
  • Ability to learn independently and use sound judgment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Houdini and HQueue.
  • Experience with render farm management software.
  • Knowledge of Qt or other GUI frameworks.
  • Cross-platform development experience.
  • Experience in the game or film industry.
