About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Bookkeeper to become a vital part of our expanding bookkeeping division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee intricate bookkeeping tasks for multiple clients simultaneously using various accounting software, ensuring accurate reconciliation of accounts receivable and payables, processing payroll, and filing necessary returns.
  • Engage with clients to understand their needs, providing support through email, phone, and video conferencing.
  • Coordinate with external vendors to ensure precise bookkeeping.
  • Assist clients with ad-hoc requests and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Supervise junior staff, delegating tasks and providing guidance.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports including payroll, GST, HST, and other relevant filings.
  • Maintain effective communication with management.
  • Identify opportunities for business growth within existing client relationships.
  • Ensure thorough documentation for efficient reviews by management or external auditors.
  • Manage payroll processes for various clients according to their schedules.
  • Handle a portfolio of clients, addressing all their accounting and bookkeeping requirements.
Qualifications
  • Completion of a College Diploma in Business Accounting.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in comprehensive bookkeeping and payroll processes.
  • Familiarity with cloud accounting tools such as Dext, Plooto, and QuickBooks Online is advantageous.
  • Understanding of bookkeeping deadlines and requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining organization.
  • Experience with payroll processing on various platforms is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a plus.
  • Strong initiative and accountability.
  • A proactive learning attitude, ready to adapt to new clients and industries.
  • Ability to work under pressure while exercising good judgment and common sense.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Experience across different sectors is an asset.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support colleagues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in French is a valuable asset.
