Job Summary: We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Sessional Instructional Assistant to support the teaching and learning environment in the BIO202H5F-Introductory Animal Physiology course.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of laboratory sessions, including setting up equipment and materials.
- Provide instructional support to students, including answering questions and providing guidance on course materials.
- Mark quizzes, tests, and exams, and provide feedback to students.
- Attend meetings with the course instructor and other teaching staff to discuss course progress and student needs.
- Perform other duties as required to support the teaching and learning environment.
Requirements:
- Minimum required is a 4-year degree in Biology with appropriate background for the course to be demonstrated.
- Qualifications include ability, academic qualifications, and suitability for the position and appropriate background in the subject/specialty within the Department of Biology.
Working Conditions:
- Work will be performed on the University of Toronto campus, with occasional travel to other locations as required.
- Work will be performed in a laboratory setting, with exposure to biological materials and equipment.
Compensation:
- Rate of pay: $52.26 per hour excluding vacation pay.
