Job Summary:The Educational Counsellor will provide guidance and support to students, parents, and teachers to help them navigate educational and career-related issues. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide individual and group counselling sessions to students, parents, and teachers to address educational, career, and personal issues.
- Develop and implement guidance and counselling programs to support students' academic and career goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to identify students' needs and develop strategies to support their success.
- Administer and interpret standardized tests to assess students' abilities and interests.
- Refer students to other specialized services as needed, such as academic support or mental health resources.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in educational counselling.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Counselling, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in educational counselling or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of standardized tests and assessment tools.
