Job Summary:

The Gymnastics Floor Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing high-quality gymnastics programs for participants of all levels. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to provide guidance and coaching to staff and volunteers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver gymnastics programs that meet the needs of participants
  • Supervise and coach staff and volunteers to ensure high-quality program delivery
  • Assist with recruitment and training of staff
  • Monitor program safety and ensure compliance with legislative requirements
  • Provide exceptional customer service and handle feedback in a professional manner
  • Complete administrative tasks, including staff and program schedules, reports, and incident/accident reports
  • Perform daily inspections of the gymnastics area and monitor equipment and supply usage
  • Report concerns, accidents, and incidents to the immediate supervisor
  • Make weekly camp calls and follow-up calls as needed
  • Understand and adhere to Corporate Policies & Procedures, Confidentiality Guidelines, Emergency Procedures, and Health and Safety Standards

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of gymnastics experience
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
  • NCCP Full Foundations or Level 1 certification with Risk Management and Risk in Sport (considered an asset)
  • Current Standard First Aid/CPR C from an accredited organization (or ability to obtain within 1 month of hire)
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NCCP Level 1 Trampoline certification (considered an asset)
  • NCCP Gymnastics Level 2 certification (considered an asset)
  • High Five Principles of Healthy Child Development or Sport Certification (or ability to obtain within 2 months of hire)
