Your contributions to the team:
• Identify and cultivate new supply sources while establishing strategic partnerships.
• Formulate negotiation strategies for business.
• Spearhead and engage in commodity development projects, including the creation of business cases.
• Drive, develop, and implement the commodity strategy, providing updates on project and negotiation statuses to senior management.
• Recognize, assess, and capitalize on cost reduction opportunities.
• Build and sustain formal networks both internally and externally.
• Serve as the primary liaison with suppliers for new business ventures.
• Assist Sites and/or Business Units with effective sourcing strategies.
• Coordinate and lead negotiations regarding supplier claims in support of business unit challenges.
• Aid Business Units in enforcing contractual remedies for significant breaches.
• Lead negotiations for contracts with suppliers.
• Ensure contracts align with our business requirements.
• Oversee the activities of Procurement Agents in relation to master and detailed plans.
• Support Procurement Agents in contract negotiations, commercial agreements, product changes, and contract amendments.
How to excel in this role? Skills, knowledge & experience:
• A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
• 7 to 12 years of relevant experience.
• Background in the aerospace industry, manufacturing environment, or program management in a commercial capacity is advantageous.
• Exceptional negotiation skills and project management experience.
• Detail-oriented, focused, and dedicated to meeting deadlines.
• A strong team player recognized for leadership, innovation, and the ability to mobilize a team.
• High proficiency in both French and English (written and spoken).
• Strong operational and financial management capabilities.
• Comfortable with complex technical subjects and knowledgeable in legal terminology or contract interpretation.
• Proficient in MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Outlook.
