Your Role:
Small Business Advisor

Key Responsibilities:
As a vital member of the Canadian Banking Branch network, your focus will be on delivering exceptional service throughout the customer’s journey by:
1. Managing a designated portfolio of high-value and/or complex small business owner relationships to ensure retention and meet agreed-upon objectives while adhering to Scotiabank's Service Standards.
2. Establishing a strong presence within the local business community by nurturing relationships with various Centres of Influence.
3. Actively engaging with both new and existing clients to foster strong, ongoing relationships and provide comprehensive advice that empowers them to grow successful businesses.
4. Collaborating with fellow advisors to cultivate a customer-centric environment.

Qualifications:
You possess a results-oriented mindset and have a solid understanding of the small business landscape, including the features and benefits of small business products and services. This includes:
1. A grasp of financial statements, relevant risk management policies, and legal and security documentation for small business offerings.
2. Proficiency in business development techniques and familiarity with small business legal structures, life cycles, competitor offerings, and alternative financing sources.
3. Strong organizational skills and the flexibility to adapt to a dynamic environment.
4. Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with a passion for meeting people and collaborating with others.
5. A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
