Job Summary

The Manitoba Government's Information Technology and GIS team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Business Analyst/Project Manager to lead the delivery of large-scale IT projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, developing strategic solutions, and managing projects from initiation to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the analysis of business requirements and develop comprehensive business cases to inform project decisions
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government partners and vendors
  • Manage project scope, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement strategic solutions that meet business needs
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including business requirement documents, project charters, and reports

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Systems, Geography, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a related discipline
  • Extensive experience in business analysis, project management, and IT project leadership
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders
  • Advanced knowledge of emerging technologies, including SaaS, MS Dynamics, and database design and analysis

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project management certification, such as PMP, Certified Scrum Master, or Organizational Change Management certification (ProSci)
