Job Summary

The Manitoba Government's Information Technology and GIS team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Business Analyst/Project Manager to lead the delivery of large-scale IT projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, developing strategic solutions, and managing projects from initiation to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of business cases, project charters, and project management plans
  • Analyze and define business requirements, identifying strategic processes and technological solutions
  • Manage project stakeholders, including internal and external partners
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders
  • Generate business requirement documents, requests for proposals, and project reports
  • Ensure the successful delivery of assigned projects, meeting business requirements and stakeholder expectations

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Systems, Geography, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a related discipline
  • Experience in business analysis, project management, and IT project leadership
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including written and verbal communication
  • Advanced knowledge of emerging technologies, such as SaaS, MS Dynamics, and database design and analysis
  • Project management certification, such as PMP, Certified Scrum Master, or Organizational Change Management certification (ProSci), is an asset
