As a Cashier at Blue River Petro Canada, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth transactions and providing excellent customer service. Your responsibilities will include:
- Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months in a similar role
- Handle monetary transactions including cash, cheques, and credit/debit card payments
- Efficiently scan items for purchase
- Accurately calculate total payments for goods or services
- Receive and process payments
- Reconcile daily/shift payments with total sales
- Maintain cleanliness of the counter area and stock shelves
- Provide a warm greeting to customers
- Weigh and assist with produce and bulk food items
- Deliver exceptional customer service
- Calculate foreign currency exchanges when necessary
- Verify customer age for the sale of restricted items such as lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products
