Senior Advisor, Public Affairs Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Advisor, Public Affairs to join our team at VIA HFR. As a key player in promoting the company to government representatives, you will contribute to the design and implementation of the relations strategy with the government of Ontario.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement corporate relations activities with government organizations.
- Analyze issues and develop corporate directions, strategies, and action plans required in terms of government relations.
- Represent the company with government stakeholders in various matters.
- Perform analysis and monitoring of company files or correspondence involving government relations, determine their impact on the coherence of strategic orientations, and provide management with a corporate position.
- Develop appropriate liaison mechanisms for interlocutors from government departments and agencies who contact VIA HFR to ensure effective communications.
- Provide the various business lines with guidance, advice, and support in matters of government relations.
- Develop and implement tools necessary to monitor commitments and obligations in terms of government relations.
- Graduate degree in a relevant discipline or an undergraduate degree combined with relevant experience.
- Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in government relations.
- Excellent understanding of the project as well as its issues and challenges.
- Good knowledge of government departments and agencies.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Demonstrated skills for teamwork, autonomy, and the ability to work on several files at the same time.
