About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable leader to join our Internal Audit Group Risk Management Financial risk team as a Director IA GRM Financial Risk. This is an exciting opportunity to be a key member of our team and contribute to the success of the Royal Bank of Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of risk management strategies to mitigate financial risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and assess risks, and develop recommendations for risk mitigation.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in risk management, balance sheet risk, and financial risk management.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, audit committees, and regulatory bodies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in risk management.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in risk management, preferably in a financial services industry.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and assess risks.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand financial statements and risk management strategies.
  • Professional certifications in risk management, such as CRMA or CERA, are an asset.
