We are seeking a highly skilled Naval Architect to join our team at Neptunus Yachts International Inc. in a permanent position.

Hours: 40 hours per week

Education: College/CEGEP

Experience: Experience an asset

Work setting: Urban area Ship building and shipping

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supervise technicians, technologists, and other engineers
  2. Design and develop marine vessels and floating structures and associated marine power plants, propulsion systems, and related systems and equipment

Supervision: 11-15 people

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses:

  1. Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association
  2. Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association

Computer and technology knowledge:

  1. AutoCAD
  2. MS Excel
  3. MS Outlook
  4. MS Word

Area of work experience: Business administration/management, Design, Operations or production, Project management, Project planning, Quality assurance or control, Specification or technical writing, Marine system

Area of specialization: Marine engineering or naval architecture

Transportation/travel information: Own vehicle, Willing to travel, Willing to travel internationally, Travel expenses paid by employer, Own transportation, Valid driver's licence

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Tight deadlines, Attention to detail, Ability to distinguish between colours, Combination of sitting, standing, walking

Personal suitability: Client focus, Efficient interpersonal skills, Excellent oral communication, Excellent written communication, Initiative, Organized, Team player
