We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Educator to join our team at Island Health as an Educational Program Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Facilitate Educational Programs: Design and deliver educational strategies and programs for healthcare professionals, focusing on clinical services and best practices.
  • Adult Education and Learning Principles: Apply knowledge of adult education and learning principles to create engaging and effective programs.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Demonstrate strong leadership abilities, working independently and collaboratively within a team to achieve educational goals.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Utilize effective oral and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal and facilitation skills, to engage stakeholders and promote educational initiatives.
  • Organizational and Analytical Skills: Organize, plan, and prioritize tasks to meet educational program objectives, while applying analytical and decision-making skills to drive program success.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in using MS Office and other related computer technology to support educational program development and delivery.
  • Industry Knowledge: Possess a sound understanding of current and future mental health clinical and healthcare issues, and their potential impact on professional education and clinical practice.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree: A Master's degree in a related health discipline from an approved post-secondary institution.
  • Experience: Five years' recent related experience, including two years relevant clinical experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Registration: Eligible for current Registration with the Professional Practice Body of the discipline.
  • Driver's License: A valid BC Driver's license.
