We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Educator to join our team at The University of British Columbia. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the clinical component of undergraduate nursing courses.
Key Responsibilities- Teach nursing competencies in clinical practice skills labs, ensuring students develop the skills and knowledge needed to provide high-quality patient care.
- Supervise students in hospital or community health settings, assessing their initial skill level and identifying areas for improvement.
- Monitor and evaluate student performance, ensuring they meet accepted practice standards.
- Collaborate with course leaders to develop and deliver theoretical components of clinical coursework.
- Participate in team activities related to planning, implementing, and evaluating the clinical component of the undergraduate program.
- Undergraduate degree in Nursing and Registered Nurse with BCCNM.
- Nursing Licensure in British Columbia.
- Master's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- At least two years of experience in a clinical position.
- Strong clinical background in Adult Acute/Critical Care, Maternal/Child, Pediatrics, Mental Health, Gerontology, or Community/Population Health.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Teaching experience and/or a keen interest in teaching.
