About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at 0921568 B.C. Ltd. As a Retail Store Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assign Sales Workers to Duties: Assign sales workers to their designated duties, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standard.
  • Hire and Train Staff: Hire and train new staff members, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Authorize Payments: Authorize payments by cheque, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Order Merchandise: Order merchandise, ensuring that all stock levels are maintained and that products are delivered on time.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Establish work schedules, ensuring that all staff members are aware of their duties and responsibilities.
  • Sell Merchandise: Sell merchandise, ensuring that all sales are processed accurately and efficiently.
  • Prepare Reports: Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters, ensuring that all data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Resolve Issues: Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
  • Organize Inventory: Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring that all stock levels are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Supervise Staff: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff members, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor who has a strong background in retail operations and management. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Work Setting: Retail business
  • Tasks: Assign sales workers to duties, hire and train staff, authorize payments, order merchandise, establish work schedules, sell merchandise, prepare reports, resolve issues, organize inventory, supervise staff
  • Supervision: 1 to 2 people
  • Cashiers: Cashiers, retail salespersons, and sales clerks
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, attention to detail, combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, organized, team player
  • Screening Questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
  • Duration of Employment: Permanent
  • Language of Work: English
  • Hours of Work: 30 to 35 hours per week
