About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team at A1 BC Construction Ltd. as a Construction Helper.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Mobile and Tower Cranes: Safely operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position, or place equipment and materials on construction sites.
  • Erect and Dismantle Structures: Assemble, dismantle, and maintain concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Operate Pile Driving Cranes: Operate pile driving cranes to drive pilings into the earth to provide support for buildings and other structures.
  • Train Apprentices: Instruct and mentor apprentices in the safe operation of heavy equipment and construction techniques.
  • Mix and Apply Materials: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt to complete construction projects.
  • Operate Dredging Cranes: Operate cranes equipped with dredging attachments to dredge waterways and other areas.
  • Assemble Tower Cranes: Assemble tower cranes on site to ensure efficient and safe operation.
  • Operate Locomotive Cranes: Safely operate locomotive cranes to move objects and materials at railway yards.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Physically Demanding: The role requires physical stamina to perform tasks that involve heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Repetitive Tasks: The job involves repetitive tasks that require attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Handling Heavy Loads: The Construction Laborer will be required to handle heavy loads and equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
