Industrial Mechanic Specialist

Brandt Group of Companies is seeking a qualified Millwright to enhance our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will possess experience in the operation and upkeep of industrial machinery. We prioritize maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The role involves working at various industrial locations and may require some travel. The primary duties include constructing and installing machinery based on layout plans, engineering specifications, and directives from operational and engineering teams, applicable to both in-house and on-site tasks.
Essential Skills:
- Proficient in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and dial indicators.
- Strong comprehension of engineered drawings and diagrams to guide work processes.
- Capable of disassembling, assembling, and aligning industrial machinery per specifications.
- Exhibit safe rigging techniques and operate lifting devices for machinery positioning during assembly and repairs.
- Evaluate and provide feedback on both existing and newly manufactured industrial equipment.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting abilities to identify and resolve issues effectively.
- Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning and lubrication of machinery.
- Adapt to a dynamic work environment with varying products and tasks.
- Solid understanding of mechanical drives and assemblies.
- Knowledgeable in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pumps and gearboxes.
- Willingness to undertake additional duties as required.
- Availability for overtime to ensure timely customer service.
Required Experience:
- A minimum of five years of practical experience in the millwright field.
- Journeyperson certification from a recognized trade institution is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Flexibility to work shifts, overtime, and at customer sites as necessary.
- Ability to mentor and train apprentices and team members.
- Knowledge of workplace safety and rigging practices.
- Safe and responsible operation of necessary equipment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and listening.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to engage with clients as needed.
- Proactive in learning about products and customer needs.
- Excellent time management capabilities.
- Ability to interpret schematics and technical diagrams.
- Attention to detail with a critical eye for identifying defects.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Ability to determine the appropriate tools and equipment for tasks.
- Capacity to work independently and manage daily responsibilities according to schedule.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform strenuous activities.
