We are seeking an experienced Industrial Mechanic - Gearbox Specialist to assess, assemble, disassemble, and repair custom gearboxes.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpretation of complex technical drawings
- Complete mechanical set-ups to precise specifications
- Assess, assemble, repair, and disassemble gearboxes
- Work with complex industrial power transmission components
- Use of crane and rigging to move and place parts
- Varied work on spiral bevel, planetary drives, and worm gearboxes
- Operate a travelling overhead crane up to 50 tonnes
Industrial Mechanic - Gearbox Specialist Qualifications
Our ideal candidate has over 3 years of experience and possesses the following education and competencies.
Education
3rd Year Apprentice or higher for one of the following trades:
- Agricultural Equipment Technician
- Automotive Service Technician
- Heavy Duty Equipment Technician
- Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)
Competencies
- 3+ years' experience of mechanical experience
- Gear drive/power transmission experience is considered an asset
- Commitment to providing outstanding service
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality
