Position Overview

The role of the Accounting Technician involves maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with established accounting standards. This position is integral to the financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Work Environment

Core Duties
  • Calculate and manage fixed assets and their depreciation.
  • Maintain comprehensive financial records and balance various accounts using both manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
  • Prepare and maintain general ledgers and financial statements.
  • Post journal entries accurately.
  • Generate statistical, financial, and accounting reports as required.
  • Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Oversee accounts receivable processes.
  • Balance cash and complete financial reports, including balance sheets and cash reports.
  • Analyze operating costs and financial data.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations regularly.
Technical Proficiencies
  • Proficient in accounting software and data analysis tools.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
  • Skilled in MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and MS Office applications.
  • Familiarity with spreadsheet applications and Sage Accounting Software.
