About the JobAs a Financial Transaction Specialist, you will be responsible for performing various accounts receivable duties in a complex healthcare environment. Your primary focus will be on receiving and posting payments, preparing adjustments and journal vouchers, issuing receipts, and preparing and posting bills.
You will also reconcile and/or balance daily receipts and/or accounts to the general ledger, maintain collection files, follow up on delinquent accounts, prepare bank deposits, and run and distribute system reports.
Your role will involve maintaining records, trust accounts, patient valuables, and petty cash, responding to inquiries, investigating and clearing discrepancies, and providing coverage and training at hospital sites throughout the lower mainland as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Grade 12, successful completion of a recognized accounting course, and two years recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Ability to keyboard at 40 wpm.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Ability to organize work.
