Job Overview

Join our team at Sysco Winnipeg as a Shipping and Receiving Associate. This position is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and logistics functions.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: Previous experience is an asset
Work Environment

The role is based in a warehouse setting, requiring the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare shipping documents such as bills of lading and invoices
  • Assemble containers and crates for shipping
  • Inspect incoming goods and verify against invoices
  • Document shortages and reject damaged items
  • Organize goods in appropriate storage areas
  • Pack items for shipment and unpack received goods
  • Label shipments with identifying information and instructions
  • Supervise the loading and unloading of goods
Equipment Proficiency
  • Experience with loaders and pallet lifters is preferred
Safety and Security
  • Must be bondable and pass a criminal record check
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure
  • Attention to detail is crucial
  • Must be able to handle heavy loads (up to 23 kg or 50 lbs)
  • Physical demands include bending, crouching, and standing for extended periods
  • Willingness to work overtime and meet tight deadlines
