About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at ZAM ZAM TIKKA & KABAB INC. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for planning and preparing high-quality meals, managing kitchen operations, and leading a team of cooks and kitchen assistants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation
    • Develop and implement menus that meet the needs of our customers and align with our company's culinary vision
    • Plan and prepare meals in advance, ensuring that all ingredients are sourced and stored properly
  • Kitchen Operations
    • Manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
    • Ensure that all kitchen equipment and facilities are clean, well-maintained, and in good working order
    • Monitor inventory levels and place orders for ingredients and supplies as needed
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead a team of cooks and kitchen assistants, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure that they are meeting their responsibilities
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve kitchen efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen or food service environment
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation and presentation
    • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
    • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with frequent exposure to heat, noise, and physical demands. A valid criminal record check is required for this position.
