About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at Pet Valu. As a Retail Store Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of retail staff and overseeing the day-to-day operations of our store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to our clients, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of retail staff, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Store Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the store, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and loss prevention.
  • Marketing and Sales: Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive sales and increase customer engagement.
  • Staffing and Scheduling: Determine staffing requirements and create schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak periods.
  • Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to ensure staff have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail management role.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
