CONSORT CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTORS is seeking a dedicated and skilled Drywall Installer to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in the construction process by ensuring high-quality drywall installation for various projects.

As a Drywall Installer, your responsibilities will encompass reading blueprints and specifications, preparing surfaces, applying drywall sheets, taping and finishing joints, and creating smooth and aesthetically pleasing walls and ceilings.

Responsibilities:
  • Interpret construction plans and drawings to understand the scope of work.
  • Prepare wall and ceiling surfaces for drywall installation, ensuring they are clean, level, and ready for attachment.
  • Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets accurately, adhering to specified dimensions and patterns.
  • Apply joint compound to seams and corners, smoothing and finishing the surface for a seamless appearance.
  • Tape over joints using taping machines and embed tape in compound, creating a strong and durable bond.
  • Sand and finish drywall surfaces to achieve a smooth and professional look.
  • Work collaboratively with other tradespeople to ensure efficient project completion.
Qualifications:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience in drywall installation is an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and construction drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Physical stamina and ability to work in various environments, including dusty, hot, and noisy conditions.
