About the Role


We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's mechanical systems, plumbing, and carpentry.


Key Responsibilities



  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and ensure optimal performance
  • Respond to guest requests and resolve issues promptly and professionally
  • Collaborate with other departments to address facility-related concerns and improve overall guest experience
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance technical skills and knowledge

Requirements



  • Related maintenance experience required
  • High School completion required
  • Valid Alberta Drivers License required
  • Technical School completion an asset
  • Level 1 Pool Certification an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows applications required (Word, Excel & Power Point)
  • Basic mechanical ability, including knowledge of plumbing carpentry and general maintenance
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Responsible and able to complete work without supervision
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts
  • Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule based on volume of business
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
