About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Person to join our team at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. As a Maintenance Person, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the hotel's facilities and equipment are in good working order.
  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Conduct repairs and maintenance on hotel equipment and facilities.
  • Ensure all maintenance work is done in accordance with safety protocols and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operation of the hotel.

Requirements:

  • Related maintenance experience required.
  • High School completion required.
  • Valid Alberta Drivers License required.
  • Technical School completion an asset.
  • Level 1 Pool Certification an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows applications required (Word, Excel & Power Point).
  • Basic mechanical ability, including knowledge of plumbing, carpentry and general maintenance.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Responsible and able to complete work without supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.
  • Highly responsible & reliable.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts.
  • Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule based on volume of business.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
