Job Title: Data Support Geoscientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Support Geoscientist to join our team at LHR Americas. As a key member of our Unconventional Resource Assessment and Data Solution Division (URADSD), you will play a critical role in managing our unconventional portfolio through technical, risk, resource, and commerciality assessments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct geological technical assessments of resource plays to ensure productivity and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to de-risk unconventional fields from exploration to development.
  • Work closely with the Exploration & Characterization Divisions to support planning and execution of wells.
  • Effectively communicate technical information to technical peers and management through presentations and written reports.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geophysics, or related sciences.
  • At least 15 years of experience in unconventional plays, including shale or tight gas exploration, development, or strategic planning.
  • Strong background in the play-based approach to evaluate tight sand and shale plays, evaluation of risk, and resource assessment within unconventional.
  • Experience managing and de-risking a portfolio of tight sand or shale opportunities from exploration through development.
  • Experience integrating basic reservoir engineering and geology to tight and source rock reservoirs.
