Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at Red Shiso Sushi Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, as well as maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, following established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including cleaning equipment, utensils, and work areas.
  • Staff Training: Train and supervise kitchen staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Recruitment and Hiring: Recruit and hire kitchen staff, ensuring that all new hires meet the restaurant's standards and requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a kitchen environment.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent position, working 30 to 40 hours per week. The work language is English, and the restaurant is recognized as an employer under government programs.
