Job Summary

EMCO Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Sales Support Specialist to provide exceptional customer service and support to our customers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing sales support, answering customer inquiries, and assisting the Outside Sales team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide sales support to customers via various channels, including in-person, phone, and email
  • Answer customer inquiries and identify their needs
  • Research products for the sales team
  • Enter sales orders and purchase orders for the sales team
  • Find efficiencies in our processes to improve customer satisfaction and productivity
  • Follow up on backorders with vendors and provide customers with accurate delivery dates
  • Process returns and warranty claims for customers
  • Support Counter Sales and Outside Sales activities
  • Resolve customer order issues in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Perform other tasks as requested by the Profit Centre Manager and operations manager

Requirements

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; College and/or University degree an asset
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service or counter sales
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software
  • Outstanding customer service and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent relationship building skills with customers, vendors, and teammates
  • Ability to identify customer needs and provide profitable solutions
  • Ability to learn and operate the applicable software system used to process orders
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple tasks
  • Intermediate math skills

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience with or knowledge of products sold at the Profit Centre
  • Experience using Trend, Eclipse, Word, Excel, and Outlook
